Adults in Luxembourg can now legally grow up to four (4) cannabis plants in their homes for recreational use. They have now joined the likes of Canada in North America and Uruguay in South America as the first country in Europe to legalize marijuana. While fines for consuming cannabis in public will be significantly reduced, it is still illegal to do so.
Despite bhang (a cannabis infused drink prepared in India for spiritual benefits), being widely popular in India, the cannabis market is still regulated and illegal. Its legalization would benefit the country in many ways, a major part being their budget deficit.
